Mosaic to switch EHR providers

ATTENTION MOSAIC CLIENTS:
On February 21st, Change Healthcare, an insurance clearinghouse owned by UnitedHealth Group, was impacted by a cybersecurity incident and has been shut down while they are managing the incident. Mosaic Counseling Services utilizes the electronic health record (EHR) TherapyNotes, which uses Change Healthcare to process insurance claims electronically. We have been unable to process claims for services rendered since the cyberattack.
At this time, we have decided to switch from TherapyNotes to a different EHR, called Simple Practice. Simple Practice offers the same features as TherapyNotes, uses different clearinghouses to process claims, and offers a more streamlined way to access telehealth services and communicate with our counselors. We are in the process of securely transferring client information to Simple Practice, and we aim to have this set up by next week.
This means that you will receive an email request to create a portal account with Simple Practice, and complete intake paperwork again (consent for services, privacy practices, billing, contact, and insurance information, etc.) We understand and appreciate the inconvenience this may cause and we assure you we will do everything possible to ensure a smooth transition. As of now, this is the best option for ensuring we continue to align with our values of accessibility and security. We will be in communication once this process is complete and we have completely phased out from using the TherapyNotes patient portal.
We encourage you to contact any staff member with any questions and concerns you may have.
